There has been some flak towards Runic for this, but I see it as kinda unavoidable. If they have one more or are missing one, you will not be able to play with them. If you have ANY mods installed, you can only play with people who have the SAME mods – as in, exactly the same. Not a dumb question at all – probably one of the more frequently asked. SynergiesMOD is a no-brainer it totally changes the game and Salan's beem tweaking and adding to it for a good 7 months now, Even the new stuff he puts in is good and functional since he's had the practice time. Out of all of them I'd recommend The Visual Pack and any of the texture packs to change your game's feel and maybe the Pet and Fishing Overhaul to make fishing feel a lot more practical.
